Gwendolyn (Wendy) Delaney, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician
Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Wendy Delaney has lived all over, including Florida, as well as over a year in Santiago, Chile. She received a B.S. degree from The University of Alabama. She completed a Pediatric Residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
She is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Delaney practiced in Virginia before relocating to Atlanta, where she joined the ER/UC Department at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
In September 2005, Dr. Delaney opened Vickery Pediatrics with the goal of combining the most up-to-date technology in pediatric healthcare with compassionate and personalized service. Dr. Delaney has three adult children and lives locally. She is actively involved in medical mission work and several non-profit organizations. She is fluent in Spanish. Her other areas of interest include ADHD, public healthcare policy and wilderness medicine. She enjoys traveling, hiking, water sports, crafting and reading.
Soraya Lim, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician
Dr. Soraya Lim is originally from the Philippines. She received her BSN nursing degree and her Doctor of Medicine from The University of the East. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. She is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Lim started her pediatric career in rural Alabama.
Before joining Vickery Pediatrics, Dr. Lim worked as an independent contractor covering numerous local pediatric practices. This position allowed her both a flexible work schedule and the ability to serve a more diverse pediatric population. She perfected her Spanish language skills during this time and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Lim now brings her passion for providing exemplary care to our communities’ children to the Vickery Pediatrics team. Dr. Soraya Lim lives in Cumming with her husband and teenage son. Her areas of interest are newborn care and asthma. In her free time, she enjoys travel, crafting and volunteering at her son’s school.
Dr. Gargi Shikhare, MBBS, FAAP, Pediatrician
Dr. Gargi Shikhare was born and raised in India. She received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Government Medical College in Miraj, India. After moving to Georgia, she completed her Pediatric Residency at MCCG Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She is board certified in Pediatrics.
Before joining Vickery Pediatrics, Dr. Shikhare worked for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) in their urgent care centers. Additionally, she has worked as an independent contractor for several local pediatric practices to allow her more time with her young family.
Along with English, Dr. Shikhare is fluent in Hindi and Marathi. She lives in Alpharetta with her husband and two daughters. Her areas of interest are pediatric urgent and emergency healthcare as well as preventative medicine. In her free time, Dr. Shikhare enjoys mentoring local high school students at the Global Thrombosis Forum, crafting with her Cricut and participating in Kathak classical dance.
